Contest Rules

Rock the Camp is a music contest presented by Camp Electric. These rules explain who can enter, how the voting works, and how the winner is chosen. Entering the contest means you accept these rules and our terms and conditions.

Who can enter

• Solo artists and bands may enter. One entry per artist or band.
• Entrants under 18 need permission from a parent or guardian.
• You must own or have permission to use the music and video you submit.

Entering

• Create an artist account, then add your artist name, genre, location, a photo, and a link to the YouTube video of the song you are entering.
• Entries are reviewed by our team before they appear publicly. We may ask for changes before approving an entry.
• You can edit your profile at any time. Once your profile is live, edits go back for a short review and your approved profile stays up in the meantime.
• Entries close on the submission deadline shown on the homepage. After that, no new artists can register or enter.

Voting

• Anyone can vote. Fans do not need an account — a name and an email address is enough.
• A vote only counts once the email address behind it has been confirmed. Confirming is a one-time step, and it also counts any vote already cast from that address.
• One vote per email address every 20 hours, so a fan can back their favorite again the next day.
• Vote totals stay hidden until results are announced.
• Votes we believe to be automated, duplicated, or otherwise manipulated will be removed, and entries responsible for them may be disqualified.

Judging

• Public voting decides round one.
• The top five artists move on to final judging by our panel of judges and mentors.
• The winner is chosen by the judges and announced on this site.

Prize

The winner takes the opening slot at Camp Electric. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Changes and disqualification

Camp Electric may update these rules, extend a deadline, or disqualify an entry that breaks them. If anything changes, the updated rules are posted on this page.
