In today’s Christian music industry, record labels, managers, and booking agents look for Christian acts not only with talent and a heart for ministry, but also for those artists/bands with established fan bases and a proven ability to promote. So start promoting your music both on and off the Rock the Camp website.

Need some help creating the hype to get votes? Here are some tips to show you how:

Church Networks

Ask your Church leaders, worship team, youth group, etc. to support you in this competition. Also, attend upcoming Christian concerts and pass out flyers asking people to vote.

Upload "ONLY" one video or Mp3

Remember this is a voting contest. If you ask your fans and family to vote for you, you do not want them to split their votes since they can only vote for one of your songs a day. Focus on your best song and promote!

Online Sites

Not only should you be spreading the word about your video or mp3 to your existing network of family and friends, but you should actively seek out new friends and fans to share your music with, whether it be on “Rock the Camp” contest site, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or elsewhere. Use these sites to your advantage.

Make the Contest into a Contest

 Use your online sites and set goals for your fans and for the people that vote for you. . Prizes are up to you. Be creative!

Promoting Your Video or MP3

Underneath your video or mp3 you will find a button that says “LINK”. Click on it. You will be able to grab the link to your video or mp3 and put it directly into emails to tell people to vote for you. This link will take them straight to your page.  Remind your fans that they need to register in order to vote for your video or mp3. Underneath the video link you will see “Embed” with the html code for your video. You can copy this code and post it on your Myspace and other online sites.
