What is the “Rock the Camp” contest?
Camp Electric and its partner companies are giving independent artists and bands worldwide the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete to win one of many unbelievable prizes. (See prizes for more details.)
How do I enter the competition?
First, you must register as an artist and confirm your account via email. (The registration link can be found on the home page). Then log-in and upload a video or audio clip to your profile. (The log in link can be found on the home page) Formats that are accepted: WMV,AV, MOV, MPG. FLV, and MP4. Your media file is limited to 2 GB.
What If I don’t have a video?
Submit an audio clip and photo, or just make a video! Videos are not judged on production quality. Have a friend shoot a video of you performing or make a simple film yourself with a web cam.
If I am just a fan, why should I register too?
Fans are critical to the “Rock the Camp” contest as they have a huge amount of power to help decide which artists deserve to win. As a registered fan, you will also be automatically entered in the fan contest to win a FREE Ipod touch!
I’ve sent several emails to info@campelectric.com, but have not received any response. Does anyone read my emails?
Yes we do. We read all emails and can assure you that your voice is being heard. However, due to the high volume of emails, we may or may not be able to respond to every email. If you do not receive a response from us it is EXTREMELY LIKELY because we’ve already answered your question in this list of FAQ’s. Please take a moment to look through this list; if you don’t find an answer, please be patient and we will respond to your email as soon as we can.
How do I unsubscribe from the “Rock the Camp” contest emails?
To unsubscribe from the “Rock the Camp” contest emails, click the “unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of any email you have received from us. If you would like to only receive certain emails from us, you can change your Email Options in your account manager.
Can I register more than one video or mp3?
No. This is a voting contest. You need to focus on putting your best foot forward. Splitting votes won’t help you reach your goals!
How do I search for videos and mp3's?
On the home page, scroll down the video player and you will find a small search box in the bottom right corner of the video player. Enter the band or artist's name and click "Search All". If the band or Artist is registered correctly it will take you directly to their video.
How do I delete or change my video or mp3
If for some reason you have uploaded to many files or uploaded the wrong files please email us at info@campelectric.com. We are the only ones that can change files once they are uploaded.
What if I'm having trouble voting or logging in and out?
The most common issue with voting and logging in or out has to do with your web browser and be easily solved. Simply hit the logout link to the right of the Rock the Camp contest player. Closing your browser will not work. You must logout and then log back in. To avoid future issues, be sure to log out whenever you leave the site.
I voted yesterday. Why can't I vote today?
While you can vote for as many files as you like within a given day, you must wait 24 hours between votes on the same entry.
Trouble voting? Here are some tips.
1. Make sure you wait 24 hours to vote. For example, if you voted yesterday at 3:00 p.m. then you will need to wait until today at 3:00 p.m. to vote
2. Make sure you have the most updated browser running. For example, if you have Internet Explorer then you will need to make sure you have Internet Explorer 8 downloaded.
3. Make sure that you are logging in and out every time you vote. If you do not log out then you will not be able to vote again the next day. Even if you close down your browser it doesn’t mean it logged you out.
Votes Clear After Each Round
After each voting round, all votes will be cleared and all remaining artist will start with no votes.
